Mary Lou Grimm

Mary Lou Grimm, age 81, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital. She was born on September 24, 1934 in Milford Center, OH to the late Homer and Reneua (Johnson) Lowry. After graduating from Bexley High School, she met and married her beloved husband of 61 years, Chester J. Grimm. Together, they raised three children, traveled all over the US, and were long-time members of Messiah Lutheran Church in Reynoldsburg and Peace Lutheran Church in Gahanna. Mary Lou was honored with the Rose of Concern at Messiah Lutheran Church for her exceptional dedication as a volunteer. She was a talented artist and received many awards for her beautiful floral arrangements. In addition to her parents, Mary Lou was preceded in death by her sons, Steve Alan Grimm and Scott Chester Grimm; and sister, Beulah. She is survived by her husband, Chester; daughter, Shelly (Jim) Page; granddaughters, Wendy (Shawn) Paulsen, Heather Wilson, and Cassandra Wilson; five great-grandchildren and sister, Betty. Family will receive friends 10:00 am until 11:00 am Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Peace Lutheran Church, 455 Clark State Rd. Gahanna, where the funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Pastor Kai Nilsen officiating. Private interment will be held at Glen Rest Memorial Estate at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Schoedinger East Chapel.
