

Mary Hartman, age 83, passed away Monday, August 2, 2010 at Mayfair Village. She was born November 3, 1926 in Lakemont, Altoona, Pennsylvania to the late Roland and Olive (Vipond) Aungst. Mary was a member of Salem Baptist Church on Sinclair Road, and the Independent Order of Foresters. Mary will be remembered as a wonderful cook and homemaker, and a special “Grandma Curly.” She enjoyed bowling and traveling. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, George Hartman; brothers, Blair and Charles “Sonny” Aungst; sister, Janet Carnicella; and son-in-law, Steven Perdue. Mary is survived by her daughters, Mary Lou Perdue and Karen (Daniel) Gierhart; grandchildren, Aaron (Rachel) Conley and Brittany Hood; and great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Mikayla, and Carmen Conley. A celebration of her life will be held with a visitation 6-8 p.m. Friday, August 6 and a funeral service 10 a.m. Saturday, August 7 at the
SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL 6699 N. High St. (1/2 mile south of I-270). Pastor Terry Jesse officiating. Interment at Kingwood Memorial Park.
