Mary K. Malay

Mary K. Malay, age 97, formerly of Whitehall and of Hampstead, North Carolina the last fifteen years, died Saturday, February 20, 2021 in Coshocton, Ohio. She will be dearly missed by her family and is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James "Jimmie" and Laura Malay, of NC; grandchildren, Aaron (Kelly) Malay, Brandie Malay (PJ) Siavelis and Matthew (Katie) Malay and great grandsons, Spencer, Greyson, Conrad and Finlay. Also survived by her two sisters, Eleanor Harless and Helen Blair; their families and many friends. Besides her parents, Jacob and Virginia (Harrah) Tingley, Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James W. Malay Sr. in 2006. Mary loved to visit and spend time with her family. She was an avid knitter and cross-stitcher. She was a people person, a little independent and would travel any chance she could. Friends may call 5-7 pm Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at SCHOEDINGER EAST, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232, where funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, February 25, 2021. Attendance levels will be monitored to be in compliance with social distancing and masks are required for all family and guests. Private interment to follow Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
