Mary Ann Paraskos

Mary was born in Aransas Pass, TX on August 9, 1932 to the late Alan and Lois Miller and died peacefully in her home in Columbus, Ohio on August 17, 2025. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Peter. She is survived by her 6 children, 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. George (Jenny) Christy (David) Daphne, Teddy, & Clark Fields, Maddie, Nikki; Cathy (Mike) Jane, Nancy & David Pultz; David (Bobbie Jo) Peter (Rebecca) Paige & Kate, Mary Leigh (Sam) Josie Linton; John (Sandy) Alexandra (Jason) Knox, Anna (Charles) William & Nora Hendrickson, Nick (Alyssa) Sophie & Ben, Catherine (John) Brynn Hyndman; Nancy (Victor) Erik (Midori) Kenji, Megan (Aubrey) Harris & Finn, Alex (Megan) Verlage; Peter (Molly) Bridget (Dillon) Aaron & Corinne Aalseth, Daniel.

Mary is preceded in death by her two brothers Jimmy (Lillian) and Lawrence “Bubba” (Doris) and is survived by her sister Nancy (Mitch) Vuckovich and her sister-in-law Dorothy Krauss, as well as many nieces and nephews.

To her grandchildren and great-grandchildren she was called Yiayia. They loved to come visit her frequently and play with all the fun toys she had for them.

Over her 93 years she volunteered at church, Cub Scouts, Navy Wives, and the Legion of Mary. As the matriarch of the family, her life was a celebration of love, faith, and kindness. All who knew her loved her. She will be greatly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial for Mary will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43220. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 N. High Street, Lewis Center, Ohio 43035.
