Mary Elizabeth (Greig) Petrick

Mary Elizabeth (Greig ) Petrick, 85, passed away with her family on November 20th in Grove City, OH. Mary was married to Gayle Petrick for 59 years who passed away in 2017. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Edna Greig and her brother Robert Greig of St. Clair Michigan. Mary is survived by her children Stewart (Kathy), Bruce, and Peg (Mark) Pennington and five grandchildren. Mary graduated from St. Clair High School (51) and Michigan State University (55). Mary was a home economics teacher at Port Huron Jr. High (54-60). Before retiring to Englewood, FL in 1995, Gayle and Mary lived in New Iberia, Louisiana (63-77), Port Huron, MI (57-63 and 77-92) and Clarks Summit, PA (87-12). Mary and Gayle enjoyed being with their grandchildren Sarah, Chad and Amy Pennington and Doug and Gayle Petrick; traveling, attending baseball games and watching Spartan basketball. A Memorial Service honoring Mary's life will be held 1 PM Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel 3920 Broadway Grove City. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association or the James Cancer Hospital.
