Mary Ann Sampson

Mary Ann Sampson, age 83 passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Emerald Crossings. She was born on April 11, 1929 to the late Edward and Helen Westgerdes in St. Henry, Ohio. Mary Ann was a selfless person who was always there for others. She was a devoted wife and mother and had a deep unconditional love for her family. She was a long time member of St. Andrew Catholic Church. Mary Ann is preceded in death by her brothers, Edward, Robert, John, Vincent and Raymond. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bernard; children Sandy (Ed) Jackson, Ed (Beverly) Sampson, Sue (Bill) Brough, Chuck (Jan) Sampson and Don (Erene) Sampson; grandchildren, Amanda (Sam), Jeremy (Angela), Niki, Michelle (John), Chris, Nick, Ryan, Aaron and Coley; great grandchildren, Kayla and Ava; and sister, Sr. Elizabeth Jane Westgerdes. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, April 30, 2012 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Rd., Columbus, OH 43220. Fr. Michael Watson Celebrant. Immediately following the Mass, a light luncheon will be held from 11-12:30 at the church. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
