Mary "Nanky" Saulsberry, age 79, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, March 12, 2022. Mary was born in Alcoa, Tennessee on February 28, 1943 to the late Clyde and Janie (Fortson) Raiford. Mary lived her life as a strong believer in giving more than receiving, which is one of the many reasons why everybody who came into contact with Mary loved her. Mary helped run the family business and was employed by Nationwide Children's Hospital. Mary loved gardening and planting flowers, she was also a master chef. You could not visit her home without having a wonderful home cooked meal. She loved to travel to California to visit with son Cjon. Mary will be deeply missed by her loving husband of almost 59 years, Leurhman "Lee" Saulsberry; sons Leurhman Dupree Saulsberry, Jr. and Cjon T. (Kaffee Peck) Saulsberry; daughter Ramunda V. Saulsberry; grandchildren Nacjon, Cheyanne, Yvonne, Elijah, Julian, Davon, and Landon; sisters Linda (John) Rheubottom, Cathy (Dan) McCord, Tillia Raiford-Fox, and Wilma Raiford; brother Ted (Donna) Raiford; sister-in-law Janis Grabovich; brother-in-law Vernon Saulsberry; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
