Mary Ruth Waters

Mary was born in Pickaway County on July 12, 1927 to the late Grover and Nellie (Shoub) Dudleson. She graduated from Derby School and then attended White Cross School of Nursing and received her RN in 1948. Mary married the love of her life, the late George Waters on September 29, 1948. They celebrated over 54 years together before his passing.

Mary was a registered nurse in Ohio, Michigan, and Florida. She served as the Nursing Director of Hospital at Orient State Institute. She was also a contributor to the State of Ohio Psychiatric Manual.

Mary’s Career in Nursing spanned over 40 years, but not only in her professional career but in her spiritual life, she made a positive influence in every life that she touched. She never had a harsh word and was loving and kind to all. Mary will be missed by all who knew her.

Her survivors include her children; George M (Susie) Waters, Ruth Ross, Carl (Gail) Waters, and Beth (Dean) Aemisegger; grandchildren; Steve Waters, Chris Waters, Brian (Stephanie) Ross, Lisa Ross, Renea (Mark) Collins, Justin (Jennifer) Waters, Stacy (Przemek) Tkaczyk, Melissa ( Anthony) Merriman; great grandmother of 11.

Family will be receiving friends at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel on Monday May 2, 2011 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. Services will be held at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel,3920 Broadway, Grove City, OH, on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at 2:00pm Officiated by Pastor Dale George. Burial will follow at the Grove City Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Mount Carmel Hospice in her name.
