Mary Kathleen Wellman

Mary Kathleen "Kathy" Wellman, age 63, passed away at the Kobacker house on Saturday, November 24, 2018 after a 5 year battle with Multiple Myeloma. She was born on January 28, 1955 to the late Roger and Margie Mitchell. She is preceeded in death by her son Michael Wellman; sister Barbara Wears; and brother Dennis Mitchell. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Steve; son Aaron (Mindy); daughter Katrina (Carlos); daughter in law Jessica (Rodney) Barnum; sisters Karen (Fred) Mahle; Patricia (Kirk) Smith; Maureen (Don) Howe; brother Kevin (Robin) Mitchell; grandchildren Lance Moore, Madison Wellman, Landon Barnum, Payton Wellman, Randy Gonzales, Elijah Barnum; and many nieces and nephews. Kathy was a 1973 graduate of St. Francis DeSales High School; she went on to obtain an Associate's degree in nursing in 1990 from Columbus State and a Bachelor's degree in nursing in 2004 from Capital University. She was a lifelong caregiver and always put others before herself. She will be remembered by her loved ones as a gentle, kind soul. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH Chapel, 5554 Karl Road. A mass of Catholic burial will take place on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 11 AM St. James the Less Catholic church, 1628 Oakland Park Avenue. In lieu of flowers, Kathy requests that memorial contributions be made out to Helpline of Delaware and Morrow Counties, ATTN: Leslie Baldwin, Fiscal Director, 950 Meadow Drive, Suite B, Mt.
