During our years of growing up, mom was a homemaker, became sitter as we had our kids and always had a ear to listen should we need to talk. After our dad had passed away, and we were more on our own, she started getting out more with some of her neighbors for luncheons ( I even heard she line danced) and she traveled with friends Dave Mobley and Judy and Jerry Hastler to different places and has tons of pictures to show for it. She loved collecting dolls and angels, gardening and did her own yard work up until it got to be too much for her to handle. She lived at home on her own up until a little over a year ago when we decided that she couldn't be alone any longer and we moved her into Brookdale. She made so many new friends and she enjoyed the activities that they had for them. She played Bingo, would get her hair done and nails painted and loved happy hour on Friday afternoon when they listened to live music from different people each week.
We can't thank Brookdale Lakeview Crossing at 4000 Lakeview Crossing, Groveport, Oh 43125 enough for the loving care mom received. During the final days they were just as loving to Garry and I as they were with her. Special thanks also for allowing us to come in during this Covid-19 outbreak to be with her. Thank you each and every one of her caregivers and nurses for all you did for her. Because of you, her transition to living there was made so smooth for her. We would also like to thank Brookdale Hospice Columbus 450 Alkyre Run Drive, Suite 250, Westerville, Oh 43082 for all the loving care she received from there, with an extra special thank you to her nurse Jennifer who was with Garry and I as much as possible those last days.
