Meg was a classmate of mine at Chardon High School (she graduated in 1999, whereas I graduated in 1998) as well as a dear friend. She and I were close in age (her being a year younger and me being a year older). She was a real sweetheart and very gentle. She sure will be sorely missed by anyone who considered her a good friend. I will never forget her and I will always remember her. I will miss her dearly. Meg, I know you are very happy that you will be reunited with your mom.

Meg was always so kind and a beautiful smile.  Amy Welch is my niece who was one of Meg friends and she just talked about Meg all the time.  She will be missed.

All of us at Parkway Village appreciated the opportunity we were given to get to know Meg Ann.  And so many of our residents enjoyed being a neighbor to her and appreciated  her company and friendship.  Please know that Meg Ann will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.

Meg was a great friend to me when she was a participant at the Lake Metroparks. And when we went to the movies we had a blast even during other activities that we did together. Fly High Meg see you soon.

Meg was a wonderful cousin. Hers was always the first Christmas card I received every year. She truly cared about her friends and family. I feel grateful that I got to see Meg in January and give her one last hug. I don't recall her ever looking down or frowning. I will choose to remember Meg as the vivacious person running around the yard in the house on Union Street, chasing after Patches. As our family got to talk about recently, my sisters and I were beyond excited that Aunt Tan was expecting a baby in late 1979, early 1980. When Meg was born, my mom came up to our school to tell us that she had arrived, right in the middle of the school day. Even though I was only 8, I know I had happy tears at my desk. I will hold the many, many happy memories of fun family gatherings with Meg close to my heart. She will be sorely missed.

Uncle Dale, Gerri, Sarah, Ryan, Troy and Jordan, our deepest love and hugs go out to your entire family.  Every memory I have of Meg makes me smile.  We had a lot of good state park fun as kids.  Being the youngest in my family, I always felt like Meg and Sarah were younger sisters. Taken away from those that loved her and this life way too soon but I hope all the memories and thoughts of her laugh and smile can live forever.

I worked with Meg, I noticed how she was always smiling or laughing or talking.  She would tell me about her vacation plans,  her day of swimming, her shopping trips, her family and we would discuss weight watchers. Meg was always in the spirit for the holidays and it didn't take me long to notice that she  was making the most of life.  It seemed to me that she  was living her best life, the best way she knew how.

Meg just turned 40 years old about a month ago. For 38 of those we knew that Meg was special. Meg knew she was different, in certain ways, than many people. But she strove to fit in and be like all others. She was kind, compassionate, didn’t show emotions much, usually very happy and just a tad bit stubborn at times. A free spirit indeed, trusting to a fault a few times.

They say that Meg was Special Needs, I’ve said it at times so folks might understand why we were fighting for her throughout her life. But she really wasn’t special needs, she was just special. Very special. She had the same needs that we all have. She wanted to be loved, to be accepted, she wanted friends, to be recognized as a whole person. She just special in a good way as she lived her life. Kind, compassionate, considerate, loving, a very sweet gal.

She played her game of life that she was dealt, played it to her full abilities and won in her way, with many, many friends that she touched.

Make sure you tell people about Meg and about people like Meg. They all need teammates in life. She would be so happy. She loved being kind, loved to help people and really loved making friends. Always smiling!

So Meg you made me proud, I’m amazed at what you have accomplished. You played the game of life, made a difference and won. I love you, always will, I’ll miss you forever, I’ll never forget you. My heart is broken. Say ‘Hi’ to Mom for me; talk her wings off! You go girl!

Meg and I went to WW together. She enjoyed the meetings and never gave up tracking her points, exercising, walking. She walked everywhere and made many friends along the way.

Meg, was such a beautiful soul she always had a smile and would  always bless me everyday w I en I hff heard her sing to Residents and dance with them .she had a heart gold. She will be truly missed ! I can just imagine her singing and that smile in the arms of Jesus:revolving_hearts:

Meg was truly a special person...she knew every resident at Brookdale by name and always took time to say hello to each of them. She is going to be missed!

Meg was a wonderful person. She loved everyone, especially her niece & nephew. She spoke of them often. She loved walking everywhere even in the cold winter months. We offered rides but she insisted walking. I enjoyed seeing her smiling face when we worked together at Brookdale. She will me truly missed.

Meg was an awesome sister-in-law and friend. Meg was thoughtful, adventurous, inspirational and so much more! She was a wonderful Aunt to her nephew and niece. She always made time to play a board game, card game or just hang out with them. Meg and I would always talk sports and we enjoyed watching the newest superhero movies at the theater. Sarah and I were planning to enjoy a future of exciting vacations and life with Meg. Her time here has passed but the memories that Meg left on us will always bring a smile to our faces.
Ryan

I would see Meg at the GC YMCA early in the morning. I’d be in the pool swimming in a lap lane and when she was ready... I would get out of the lap lane for her to get in next. We tagged teamed the use of the swimming pool lanes at the Y. I also had just seen Meg at the Travel Expo. She was handing out “Visit Grove City “ brochures that day. We had a nice visit that day. Meg was always sweet and involved. I’ll miss her smile and kind heart.

I have worked with Meg since the beginning when she first came to Brookdale, we had such a special bond, her smile would light up a room and her laughter was contagious, I forever will miss my friend, my heart is broken.

Each time I had the chance to visit Meg's book club, she greeted me with a smile as soon as I walked into the library.  She brought the club's books to and from club meetings and was willing to help however she could.  Meg was indeed an extremely sweet soul.  She will be greatly missed.  My deepest sympathies go out to Meg's family.  Jillian

I used to live quite near the Pinnacle area of Grove City. I'd met Meg and knew that she was interested in becoming more physically active. One hot summer day I was walking north on the Buckeye Parkway bikepath. I was hot, tired, and ready to be done. I looked across to the other side of the street, and there was Meg, walking strong.  I waved, but she didn't see me. She was focused on the personal race she walking. Next time I saw her, I commented on her being out there, in the heat, walking. Most people wouldn't make the effort in that heat. It showed her commitment to herself. Her face lit up, she nodded, and kind of laughed. It wasn't a big deal to her, she was just exercising. I always looked for her after that, when I walked the path. I'll miss her.
