Melody Linda Weeks

She was a lifelong Columbus resident, and a 1965 graduate of North High School. She attended The Ohio State University, before starting a career at Industrial Nucleonics, then AccuRay, later retiring from ABB.

She enjoyed cooking, cross stitch, Sudoku puzzles, tennis, Ohio State football, and holidays with family.

Melody will be greatly missed by family, especially her husband of 51 years, Bob (Robert E. Weeks). She is survived by her son, Joe Weeks (Kelly Winner), beloved granddaughters Jenne and Torre Weeks. She is also survived by brothers Larry (Sandy) Dow, Sherman (Karen) Dow, Tom (Karen) Dow, sister Carol Amicon, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Melody was preceded in death by sister Barbara McClain, and stepsons Steve and Jeff Weeks.

Melody was most grateful to friends and family who visited and helped care for her. Especially her husband Bob, daughter-in-law Kelly, and dear friend Barb Hockenbery. She was also grateful for the attention she received from the caring staff at Arlington Court Nursing Center, and from Vitas Hospice.

Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221, where a Memorial Service will take place at 6 PM.

In lieu of flowers, Melody asks for contributions to Planned Parenthood, Charity Newsies, or a charity of your choice.
