Melvin Wesley Washington, age 69, of Columbus, Ohio passed away on Friday March 6, 2026. He was born November 22, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Oscar and Francis Washington. He joins in death his parents and brother Terry Washington. Melvin leaves behind his loving wife, Vivian (Robinson) Washington; children Erica Washington of Columbus, Ohio and Marzetta (Brian) Share of Florida; grandchildren Antonio Hairston, Antoine Hairston, Anaya Hairston, Anaja Washington and Zachary Share. Also surviving is great grandchildren Akeyla and Kanya. He is also survived by his aunt Josephine, aunt Marion, close cousins Barbara and Walter Young as well as various cousins and brother and sister in laws. Melvin enjoyed watching country western shows, playing golf and cheering on the Cleveland Browns. He also enjoyed cooking and grilling out for his family. Visitation will be held on Friday March 13, 2026 from 4PM to 6PM at the Advantage by Schoedinger – Hilltop Chapel, 3030 W Broad St., Columbus, Ohio 43204 where the funeral service at 6PM.
