Michael Joseph Oliva was born July 17th, 1945, and died September 7th, 2025, at the age of 80. I was born the fourth child of ten and the third male in the birth order. Fortunate beyond measure was I to have Andrew and Margaret Oliva for parents who loved each other, to have been born in the United States and lived at the time I did, made me a winner in the lottery of life. And lucky moreover was I to have shared life with fabulous siblings.
I graduated from Rosary High School and West Virginia University. I served with the 24th mechanized infantry division HQ and HQ company in Germany and retired with thirty years from the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
As a lifelong atheist, I can assure all that I'm not in a better place. I hope prayers are saved for those who want them. I had a terrific life of which I have few regrets. I loved nearly every moment.
I am survived by my loving wife, Mrs. Gale Oliva, precious daughter Jenny Oliva, Sisters, Mrs. Sally James of Cape May New Jersey and Del Ray Florida, Mrs. Peggy Smith of Peach Tree Corners, Georgia, Mrs. Renee Brietfeller of Bexley Ohio and Brothers David and Charles Oliva of Columbus, Ohio.
