Michael Joseph Riley

Michael Joseph Riley passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the age of 63. He was born in Columbus, OH, on February 5, 1954 to Joseph and Rose Ann Riley. Michael attended both St Andrews and Bishop Watterson High School. He received his bachelor's degree in 1978 from The Ohio State University. Michael was a member of Beta Theta Pi and the OSU Presidents Club. Mike, along with his brother Tim, dedicated his entire career to the family business, becoming president and CEO of Riley and Associates in 1996. He enjoyed the OSU Buckeyes, playing golf, skiing and traveling with his friends. He is survived by his mother Rose Ann Riley, siblings Bernadette (David) Thornton, Mary Rose (Donald) Hamparian, Timothy James Riley, and Kathleen (Shannon) Riley Williams; nephews, Douglas (Stephanie) Thornton, Brian (Katie) Thornton, Matt Hamparian and Danny (Gabby) Hamparian; great nephews and nieces, Andrew, Maria, Sarah and Luke.

He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Riley and sister, Tina Marie Riley. He will be missed by all who knew him, especially his godsons.

Family will be receiving friends, Saturday April 15, 2017 from 2 PM to 5 PM at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Andrews Catholic Church, 1899 McCoy Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio on Monday April 17 at 10:30 AM with burial to follow at St Joseph Cemetery, 6440 South High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Michael's memory to the American Heart Association or The Ohio State Alumni Association, Fund 301278, 1480 W. Lane Avenue, Columbus OH 43221.
