Michael Robert Sarvis, age 58, of Hilliard, died January 3, at Doctor’s West Hospital. Preceded in death by daughter Amber Sarvis Whitler, father Gus Sarvis, and former wife Carrie Ann Starett. Survived by son Adam (Don Richards) Sarvis; mother Carol Fleming; sisters Jeannie (John) Tobias and Kim (Dan) Gordon; brother Jeffrey (Kiko) Sarvis; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers. Born in Cincinnati, OH and graduated from Madeira High School in 1977. Longtime associate of Michael’s Finer Meats and Seafoods. He was passionate about food service and his work ever since his first job at LaRosa’s as a teenager. He was a great cook, and loved his garden, TV and movies, Stephen King, and especially his children. Family will receive friends 2-4pm Saturday, January 6, at the Schoedinger Midtown Chapel, 229 East State St. where a funeral service will be held at 4pm.
