Michele “Mike” Ventresca, age 78, of Columbus, died peacefully in the arms of Mary Sibert, the love of his life, on Thursday, March 25, 2010. Michele, was born in Introdacqua, Italy, son of the late Michele and Filomena. Also preceded in death by his brothers, Ilvo, Giuseppe (twin), and Antonio, and sister, Filomena. He is survived by his sister, Dilia Giammarco; sister-in-law, Elia Ventresca; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Michele retired from the Merchant Marines after 40 years of service, and he enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. Memorial service will be held at 7 P.M. Monday, March 29, 2010 at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., where family will receive friends from 6 P.M. until time of service. Chaplain Penny Stacy officiating.
