Mildred "Millie" McCoy

Mildred G. “Millie” McCoy, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2010. Millie was born on August 2, 1916 in Dorset, Ohio; she is the daughter of the late Arthur and Pearl Allen. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Edwin; sisters, Inez Laitinen, Freda Foster and Vera Mason; brother, Arthur Allen; and grandson, Timothy Tatgenhorst. Those who survive to cherish her memory are, daughter, Susan (Alan) Toy; son, Terry (Avalee) McCoy; 4 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Alice Allen; niece, Judy Laitinen, and many cousins, nieces and nephews, *along with special friend, Elizabeth Gephart*. Millie was a founding member of Christ Presbyterian. She had a farmer’s green thumb and enjoyed her gardening and a good game of euchre. Family will receive friends on Sunday, May 23, 2010 from 2-5pm at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, Ohio 43229. Funeral services will take place on Monday, May 24, 2010 at 11am at Christ Presbyterian, 4220 Cleveland Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43224. Pastor Pam Patterson officiating.
