Mildred L. "Millie" Stahl

A memorial visitation for Mildred “Millie” Leonette Stahl 82, of Johnstown, Ohio will be held at the Criss Schoedinger Funeral Home, 179 Granville St., Newark, Ohio on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.

Millie passed away at her residence in Johnstown, Ohio on June 24, 2010. Millie was born in Covington Ky., to the late Leo Berkemeir and Elizabeth Henn Berkemeir. A resident of Johnstown for over 30 years and a member of The Church of the Ascension. Millie married the love of her life Donald Stahl on September 17, 1949 and shared over 50 years together before his passing. She was a pilot, and a long time member of the 99ers. She flew in a number of races and exhibition and powder puff derbies. An avid ice skater, water skier, and enjoyed traveling in her RV. As mentioned by her family she was ornery and enjoyed life to the fullest and always looking for an adventure or a dare. She will be sorrowfully missed by all who knew her.

Millie’s survivors include her children Peggy (Jack) Berger of Georgia, Jeff Stahl of Johnstown; Grandson Jason Stahl of Missouri, and Special friend Nedra Akins.

Along with Millie’s husband and parents, she is also preceded in death by a daughter Pamela Jean, and Sister Marilyn, and canine family Penny and Caesar.
