

Mildred Suzanne "Sue" Watkins, 83, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016. She was born in Champaign, Illinois on April 26, 1932 to the late Richard and Eleanor (Dickey) Johnson. She was passionate about music and later in life was taught by her daughter, Karen Butler to play the viola. She enjoyed traveling to the beach and spending time with her family up in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in their cabin. Sue owned and operated Knights Medical Claims for many years. She was a former member and president of the Grove City Noon Lions Club, member of the Grove City Chamber of Commerce, former employee of State Auto Insurance, former teacher's aide at Brookpark Middle School, past member of the First Presbyterian Church of Grove City and current member of Grove City Church of the Nazarene, and former member and president of the Officers' Wives' Club at Lockbourne Air Force Base. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gardner Murray Watkins and sister's Barbara Jean Holmes and Kathryn Irene "Kitty" Baker. Sue is survived by her children, Gardner Michael (Linda) Watkins, Kathryn "Kitty" (Tony) Keener, Richard Mark (Tina) Watkins, Matthew (Patty) Watkins, and Karen (Matt) Butler; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Butch Johnson; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. Her family was very important to her and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be held 6-8pm Friday, March 4, 2016 at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Ohio where memorial service will be held 3pm Saturday. Private inurnment will be held at a later date at Grove City Cemetery. Contributions in Sue's memory may be made to the Central Ohio Alzheimer's Association, 1379 Dublin Rd, Columbus, OH 43215.
