Nancy L Cox

Nancy L. Cox, age 75, of Whitehall, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023 at home with family by her side. She was born June 15, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of the late Carl and Joann (Ruhl) Jakeway. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Jackie Jakeway; brother Craig Robey, ; sister-in-law, Teresa Jakeway; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carol and Jack Whitlach; daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and David Stephens and Carla and James Adkins; grandchildren, Laura, Nina (CJ), Sheila, Devin, Michael (Andrea), Stephanie (Robert), Carl, and Jimmie Dean; great-grandchildren, Anastasia (Eden), Devontae, Christopher, Jordan, Camron, Mackenzie, Aubrey, Jace, Olivia, Jaxon, Harper and Ashton; great great-grandchildren, Bentley, Xavier, Adalynn, Gianna and Iyana; ex-sons-in-law, Thomas Hudson and Mike Lacey. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and many friends. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Roy “Tubby” Cox; sister, Deborah Jakeway and brother, Terry Jakeway. She was a life member of the Reynoldsburg VFW Post 9473 Ladies Auxiliary. Nancy was an avid OSU Buckeyes fan and had a huge heart as she was always there to take care of others. Family will receive friends 5-8 PM Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at SCHOEDINGER EAST, 5360 E. Livingston Avenue, Columbus, OH 43232. Graveside Service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Mifflin Cemetery. Those who wish may contribute to the American Cancer Society to go towards cancer research, in Nancy’s name.
