Nelson "Baker" Russell

Nelson “Baker” Russell, age 79, of Columbus, Ohio passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011.

He was born in Circleville, Ohio April 19, 1932 to the late Claude and Rene (Craig) Russell. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had retired from White Westinghouse. He was preceded in death by brothers, Romie Russell, Ernest Claude “Tootie” Russell, Kenneth Russell and Forest “Carl” Russell; sisters, Dorothy Frazier, Velma Jones, Ruth Hoover and the mother of his 3 children, Marilyn Russell. He is survived by his children, John (Barbara) Russell, Kathleen (Mark) Yenichek and Christina (Steve) Foulkrod. He was a very special grandfather to his grandsons, Christopher (Mallory), Joshua, Timothy, Mark II, Thomas, John, James Nickolas, Jordan and Joseph; brothers, Raymond Russell and Harold Russell; sister, Mabel (Weldon) Owens, Hazel Frazier, Peggy Miller, Marie (Robert) Parry, and Margaret (Donald) Rader, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may call Tuesday, August 16, 2011 from 5-8 PM at the DEFENBAUGH-WISE-SCHOEDINGER FUNERAL HOME 151 E. Main St. Circleville where the funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 11:00AM; interment with Military Honors to follow at Jackson Twp. Cemetery.
