

Norma Jean Kochensparger, of Grove City, age 84, died Thursday May 23, at Serenity House in Grove City. She was a long time member of the GC United Methodist Church, including the Ladies Circle Group. She was a founding member of the Church’s Quilting Group, and very proud of being a full time and lifelong mother and loving wife. Preceded in death by her parents John and Leoda Overstreet; her sisters, Mamie Smith and Rosie Porter; husband Charles; son Charles Michael and granddaughter Rachel. Survived by her children: Mary Lee (Bert) Johnson, Steve (Kathy) Kochensparger, Patricia Kochensparger, Jayne (Shelby) Link, Jon (Andrea) Kochensparger, and Paul Kochensparger; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Nancy Beggrow and Betty Westcamp, numerous cousins and others from both the Overstreet and Kochensparger families. Family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Schoedinger-Norris Funeral Home, 3920 Broadway, Grove City. Funeral Service at 11 am Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at GC United Methodist Church, 2684 Columbus Street, Grove City, with visitation there from 10-11 am. Open reception at the church following burial. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Norma Jean’s name to the GC United Methodist Church General Fund, 2684 Columbus St., Grove City, OH 43123, or the Salvation Army for Oklahoma Tornado Relief.
