A celebration of life service for Norma L Wilson 81, will be held on Thursday July 29, 2010 at 12:00pm at Central College Presbyterian Church 975 S. Sunbury Rd. Westerville, Ohio 43081, with Rev. Richard Ellsworth officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Norma was born in Columbus, Ohio on May 20, 1929 to the late Lester and Sara Ruth Moore. She grew on the West side and graduated from West High School. Next door to her lived a young man named William “Bill” Wilson who use to tease her and irritated her. When he left for the service and then came back they fell in love and were inseparable; celebrating over 45 years together before his passing. From this union two children were born; daughter Jenny Wilson Watson, and son the late Jerry Wilson. Eating out with her late husband was such a highlight that it would happen every day of the week. Also when she got together with her childhood friends they would stay up until 3:00 am laughing. But, spending time with her family and spoiling her grand children, and Great Grand children was a sure way to put a smile on her face.
Along with her Daughter Jenny (Scott) Watson of Westerville, she is also survived by her Daughter in law Carol Wilson of Westerville, Grandchildren; Scott (Betsey) Stickney of Westerville, Jason Wilson of Westerville, Todd Wilson of Columbus, Michelle (Phil) Murphy of Worthington; Great grand children Cole, Clay, Hailey, Mady, Joel; and sister Nancy (Ron) Kirkpatrick of RI. as well as many other loving relatives and friends.
Norma, along with her parents and husband is preceded in death by her sister Dorothy Conrad.
A special thank you to Diane Conrad for all her help over the past several months.
Family and Friends may call at the church prior to services from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to Schoedinger Funeral Service North Chapel Columbus, 5554 Karl Rd., 43229. Contribution may be made the Central College Presbyterian Church in her name.
