O. Ruth Moore

Ruth Moore, age 86, passed away Monday, July 18, 2016. She was born on March 19, 1930 in Kermit, West Virginia to the late Anna Mae (Varner) and John Evans. Among her many careers, Ruth was a teacher, a model in New York and Chicago, as well as an entrepreneur with two beauty salons and family business. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed fashion and interior design. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert N. Moore; son, William "Bill" Norman Moore and sister, Joyce Kernan. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Sharon Dreme (Bruce) McLennan; grandchildren, David Norman Moore, James William Moore and Heather Dreme McLennan (Stephen Westwood), Jeffrey Brian (Lara) McLennan and Kelley Jean (Scott) Seafield; and 8 great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends 5-7 PM on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221, where funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Monday, July 25, 2016. Entombment at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mount Carmel Hospice, 1144 Dublin Rd, Columbus, OH 43215.
