The Angels came on Tuesday December 28, 2021 to carry our beautiful Mom, Opal Annette Davis, into the waiting arms of Jesus where our precious Dad has been patiently waiting to stroll across Heaven hand in hand with her. She went so peaceful and quick, you know when she saw the light she took off running to dad. Her spirit is carried on by her 4 children, 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and 7 siblings and so many more family members and friends. If there ever was an Earth Angel, it was her. She was the most loving, selfless, caring Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She always put everyone's needs before her own. Born in Portsmouth Ohio on June 4th 1951, the 4th child of 12. She lost her father very early and helped care for her other siblings. She loved everyone she met, always had a smile on her face and especially loved taking care of the elderly. Of her many roles in life, the role of mother was her greatest achievement and would tell anyone who would listen about her children. Most recently she worked tirelessly to promote and learn every task at our family business, Ohio Art Market, where she brightened the day of customers and team members. She had a servants heart and was always looking for ways to help others. She is survived by her children and grandchildren: Myra Bates(children Chad Bates and Stacy Kaulitz), Amber Davis, Lori Tackett (husband Todd Tackett) child Lakan McCoy), Herbert Davis Jr (husband Woody Hampton) and Sara Williams (husband Tony Williams) children Josh Williams, Kayla Williams, Lexie Dugan and Miyah Williams); siblings Robert Miller, Sandy Riddlebarger, Vickie Frye, Beth Gilmore, Jerry Miller, Rachel Carver, Richard Bricker and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, friends and family too numerous to mention. She is reunited in Heaven with the love of her life Herbert Ray Davis Sr, her parents Robert Miller and Betty Bricker and she was also preceded in death by one child Donna Davis and 4 siblings Larry Miller, Tina Miller, Terry Miller and David Bricker. Mom didn't want a viewing, or funeral and insisted upon it. Her wishes were to be cremated and her ashes joined with dads. We will have a celebration of life for her birthday on Saturday June 4, 2022. Details as the date approaches.
