Otto "John" Sandusky

Otto D. Sandusky, age 84, known to his family and friends as “John” passed away, Sunday September 20, 2009, with his family at his side.A native of Gahanna, he was born to Harold and Nettie (Shull) Sandusky, June 6, 1925. John is a former associate of Sloter Concrete, Syncor Labs, and The Golf Club. He is also the former owner of Thornville Drug Store and Pharmacy in Thornville. He is s long time member of Peace Lutheran Church and a veteran of the US Army. He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Patti, his parents and several brothers-in-law. John is survived by sisters Mary June Glenn and Sue (John) Strachan, sister-in-law Donna Lou Roby, nieces and nephews: Gregg (Kathi) Glenn, Nikki (Gary) Blackburn, Vikki (Dan) Luft, Kathy (Jeff) Brown, Brenda Strachan, John (Susan) Strachan, Dwight Strachan, Sheila (Charlie) Shull, Monna (Bob) Kracker, Randy (Sherrie) Roby and Brent Roby, many great nieces and nephews and dear friends. Also Loving care giver, Rhonda Mann. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11am, Wednesday September 23, 2009 at Peace Lutheran Church 455 Clark State Road, Gahanna, where the family will receive friends from 10am until service and also following the service in the Church Fellowship Hall for a meal. Pastor Dwight Hedrick, officiating. Private family interment.
