Patricia Ann Burget

Patricia A, Burget, age 89 of Columbus, passed away, Wednesday March 4, 2026 after a long journey through Alzheimer’s. Patricia was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, daughter of the late Verlin and Eileen Tussing. Patricia graduated from Bexley High School and attended The Ohio State University until she met her husband of 58 years, Eugene Burget. Together they lived in Japan for two years while Eugene honorably served in the in the US Air Force.

Patricia was a classic beauty and had attributes unique enough for modeling. One of her most memorable and enjoyable jobs was for Madison Department Store in Columbus. She had a love for all things beautiful including fashion. For years, she worked each season, at a local apparel trade show which allowed her to stay on top of current trends and styles. She applied that in her everyday life with such grace and class.

Patricia’s outer beauty was second to what was inside, however. Her main focus and dedication in life was that of her family, both immediate and extended. Sunday family dinners at Buckeye Lake, holidays and any single get together gave her such joy and purpose. Her smile and laughter while she enjoyed so many things in her life- the love of her children, granddaughters, parents and siblings, old fashioned cooking, music and dancing, Ohio State football, Euchre club with her best friends, etc. will be forever missed.

Patricia was your biggest cheerleader and fan in life and the first to celebrate your accomplishments without envy. She had a positive, loving, and strong energy that lasted until the very end.

She will be greatly missed by her loving children, Bradley Burget (Brian Workman) and Jennifer Burget; granddaughters, Olivia and Ella Maxey; sister, Judy Wagenbrenner; brother, Tom (Diane) Tussing; sister, Suzanna (Greg) Hopkins; faithful companion, Charlie, and many other extended family members and friends. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Mount Carmel Hospice for their support. A “Celebration of Life” for friends and family will be held in the Spring.
