Patricia A. Laird

Patricia Ann Laird, age 76, of Columbus passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2011. Patricia was born on March 19, 1935 in Columbus; she was the daughter of the late Donald and Agnes Laird. Pat was also preceded in death by brother, Robert “Bob” Laird. She is survived by sister, Margaret “Peggy” Reasoner; nieces and nephews, Brent Burington, Becky Bryant, Diana Kasperek, Doug Laird, Paul Laird and David Laird; along with many great and great great nieces and nephews. Pat retired from The Ohio State University after 35 years of dedicated service as a library Tech Assistant. She was a member of Broad Street Presbyterian Church since 1949, where she was active in the food pantry and gate keeper. Pat volunteered for the Columbus Literacy Council and was a member of Job’s Daughters. She was an avid reader and loved her cats. Pat enjoyed the arts in all forms, whether it was her painting and sculpting or attending the symphony, opera or ballet. Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 7, 2012 from 2-3pm with a memorial service at 3pm at Broad Street Presbyterian Church, 760 E. Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43205; Rev. Ann Palmerton officiating. Private family interment will take place at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Broad Street Presbyterian Food Pantry or COMPASS.
