

Patricia Jean Santoro, age 79, passed away peacefully at home on September 2, 2014. Patricia, born in Chicago, IL on October 5, 1934, was the daughter of Lawrence and Anita Frank. She attended Central Catholic High School in Ft. Wayne, IN. She earned her bachelor's degree in Dietetics from Marygrove College, Detroit, MI and completed a dietetic internship at University Hospital, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI. She worked at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne, IN prior to marriage on May 31, 1958. She was a dedicated charter member of St. Anthony Church and a 20-year volunteer with the Diocese of Columbus Bishop's Annual Appeal. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend. Leonard, her beloved husband and best friend, would say that she was not Italian but still a "nice-a-girl." She enjoyed sewing, jigsaw puzzles and organizing her stamp collection. She also loved to spoil her seven grandchildren and her golden retriever granddogs. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband on June 13, 2012. She is survived by her sister Mary Bernadette Frank, RSM; sons, Frank (Susan) Santoro and Bob (Chris) Santoro; daughter Mary (Ken) Sheetz; grandchildren Philip, Ryan, Jennifer, Kristin, Michael, Matthew and Mia; brother-in-law Frank (Nancy) Santoro; sister-in-law Carmela Santoro; other loving relatives and friends. Calling hours will be held Sunday, September 14, 2014 between the hours of 3-5 PM at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, Columbus, OH 43229 with a Prayer service at 4:45 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM, Monday, September 15, 2014 at St. Anthony Church. Fr. Thomas Petry and Fr. Bill Zimmer, Con-Celebrants. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 North High Street, Lewis Center, OH 43035. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her honor can be made to St. Anthony Church, 1300 Urban Drive, Columbus, OH 43229.
