Patrick Anthony LaRosa

Patrick A. "Pat" LaRosa, 77, of Russells Point, OH, formerly of Columbus, OH, passed away Monday morning, January 18, 2016, at Heartland of Indian Lake, Lakeview, OH. Pat was born on July 17, 1938 in Ostrander, OH, to the late Joseph and Julia E. Burkhart LaRosa. He was preceded in death by two brothers Rickey LaRosa and Leslie LaRosa. On May 12, 1974, he married the former Pauldra Joan Hawk in Columbus, OH and she survives along with one son, Patrick Allen "Skip" (Milly) LaRosa of Westerville, OH, one granddaughter, Carly LaRosa; and two sisters, Mary L. (Bob) MacLeod and Joy L. Hoppsteller. Pat was a graduate of Upper Arlington High School and a veteran of the United States Army. Pat was a barber for 25 years, worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 27 years and Riverside Methodist Hospital Parking Services for 5 years. He was a collector of antiques and petroliana collectibles. He restored a 1929 Model A Ford and 1949 Dodge pick-up, and enjoyed collecting and watching old movies, especially "B" movies. He enjoyed spending time at Indian Lake and treasured his dogs, Cola, Susan, Abby and Lucy. A celebration of Pat's life will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Columbus, OH with visitation from 3-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. LaRosa's name may be given to Capital Area Humane Society, 3015 Scioto-Darby Executive Ct., Hilliard, OH 43026 or cahs-pets.org .
