

Patrick Hubert Taylor, age 54 of Columbus, previously of Tucson, Arizona, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015. Patrick was born in Ravenna, Ohio and grew up in Hudson, Ohio, son of the late Raymond and Lotti Taylor. Also preceded in death by brother, Raymond Taylor. Patrick graduated with multiple degrees in Fire Science. He achieved the Firefighter #3 certification which is one of the highest commendations a fireman can achieve. Patrick worked throughout his career as a fireman in both Tucson, Arizona and Canton, Ohio. He had a tremendous moral code and was always willing to help anyone in need. He was fearless, loving, and could find humor in almost every situation. Patrick was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis about 4 years ago and with that diagnosis, he became more courageous than ever. He previously enjoyed hiking, working out, and had been recently training to compete in the Paralympics. Patrick became an inspiration to many. He played a key role in the founding of the Greater Purpose Project, an inspiring documentary following the lives of people who are enduring life's greatest challenges only to discover their Greater Purpose. Patrick will be greatly missed by his wife, Kathleen Taylor; children, Nathan (Megan) Dana, Jared Taylor, Levi Taylor, Halley Taylor, Valerie Scheller, and Danielle Scheller; brother, Gerhart (Alice) von M?elhe; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Memorial service will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, January 31, 2015 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. Memorial contributions may be made to the Great Purpose Project.
