Paul Allen Barnett

Paul A. Barnett “Da”, 79, of Delaware, passed away January 17, 2010. He was born March 23, 1930 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Wallace and Ethel Barnett. Paul is also preceded in death by his loving wife, Pat and by his brother, Arlen. Paul is survived by his children, Cindy (Bill) Haley of Bellefontaine, OH, Dr. Michael (Carolyn) Barnett of Shelbyville, KY; grandchildren, Jennifer (Duane) Swingley, Jessica and Amy Haley all of Bellefontaine, OH, Emily Barnett of Shelbyville, KY; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Jim (Carol) Barnett of Tampa, FL and 3 nieces. Paul was a graduate of The Ohio State University and worked in banking until he retired in 1985. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps and proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict. Paul was a member of the Powell United Methodist Church, Masons, OSU Alumni Association and was active in volunteering at the McConnell Heart Hospital. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. Paul’s three main passions in life were his family, Florida and football, especially the Buckeyes. Visitation will be held 10:00-11:00AM Friday, January 22, 2010 at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL 3030 W. Broad St. Columbus, OH where a memorial service will be held at 11:00AM with Rev.
