Lt. Col. U.S. Army, retired after 22 years service. He was awarded a Bronze Star and Combat Infantry Badge during WWII. Paul was a member of the first Grove City High School football team in 1928. He was active with the starting of Quarter Horse racing in Ohio. Also was a licensed thoroughbred racing official 42 years. He was a life-long member of St. John Lutheran Church, Grove City. He was the 8th generation of Mayflower decedents.
Preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and his wife, Dorothy. Survived by Kathryn Wood, William (Judy) Cecil, II, William (Mary) Cecil, III, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Columbus, OH, 43221 on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at 12 noon with visitation one hour prior. Interment Union Cemetery.
