Paul Charles Starks, 91, departed this life at Mt. Carmel East Hospice on Sunday, August 12th, 2012 in Columbus, Ohio. Born in Columbus on August 7, 1921, he lived his life with his family in the Capital City except for the years he served in WWII, when he was awarded 5 Bronze Stars, a Good Conduct Medal, a Bronze Arrowhead and the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy Louise Starks and his parents, Georgia and George Starks. Mr. Starks leaves to mourn his daughter Joan Bernette Jackson, grandson Jerome Paul Jackson and great-grandsons, Josiah and Marcus Jackson. Funeral Service with military honors, 11am Friday, August 17, 2012 in the Mausoleum Chapel on the grounds of Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 E.
