

Paul L. (P.T.) Tulga, passed peacefully to his eternal home to live with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 26, 2014, one day after his 98th birthday, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, OH. Paul was the second son born to Leonard and Hazel Tulga on October 25, 1916 in Columbus. A devoted father and grandfather, and a perfect role model for all on how to be a great friend. He was a proud graduate of Central High School, Class of 1934. He was a member of "The Greatest Generation", a World War II veteran, serving on the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter, Comanche, from 1942-1946. Paul was a finishing foreman with Ross Laboratories, a division of Abbott Laboratories, retiring after 40 years of dedicated service. Paul had a lifelong passion for the game of golf and through the years had been a member at Bridgeview GC, Little Turtle CC and Delaware GC. He won numerous local and national tournaments and club championships. His round of 63 remains the course record at Raymond Memorial Golf Course. He served as Past President of the Columbus Public Golf Assn and the Ohio Public Links Golf Assn.
He was a 50 year member of Loyal Moose Lodge #1427 and a member of Ascension Lutheran Church.
Paul was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Betty (2004); and brother, Robert Tulga. He is survived by his daughter, Paula Haldeman and son-in-law, Jim Haldeman of Worthington; step-son, John W. Grace, of Olive Hill, KY; grandsons, Scott and Grant (fiancée, Casey Freeman) Haldeman and John T. Grace. Family will receive friends from 4-7:30 pm on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N High St., Worthington, OH 43085. A Graveside Service will begin at 11 am on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Union Cemetery New Section, 3349 Olentangy River Rd., Columbus, OH 43202. Pastor Bonnie Gerber Officiating.
