Peggy Eileen Rose

Peggy Eileen Rose, peacefully passed away on November 3, 2025 at 11:13pm. She was surrounded by love in her final days and left us with her daughter Abby and dog Harry by her side. While her physical being is gone, her spirit remains and we take comfort in knowing she is resting without pain.

Peggy was born on August 24, 1949, the youngest of 12 children, to Cecil and Bessie Richards in Coal Township, Jackson County, Ohio. She was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, friend, and colleague. Peggy loved her family and took great pride in her home, her dogs, and her garden. She was adventurous since birth, spontaneous, funny, and the strongest woman we knew. Her charisma would light up a room and her laughter and positive outlook lasted with her until the very end. She will be so greatly missed but her impact on our lives will carry on forever.

A Celebration of Peggy's Life will be held at Overbrook Presbyterian Church, 4131 N High St., Columbus, OH 43214 on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 1:00pm. A reception will immediately follow at the church, where family and friends are invited to gather and share memories of the remarkable woman Peggy was.
