Penny Lee Nethero, age 69, of Columbus, died Sunday, February 6, 2022 at her home following a battle with cancer. She was the matriarch and center of her family, as well as the family historian and geneologist. She loved to bake, crochet, go for walks and spend time with her grandchildren. Penny also loved the winter season and snow globes. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Zelma Platt. She is survived by her husband, David Nethero; children, Melissa (Thomas Nutini) Nethero, Heather (Allen) Bonham, and David (Cathy) Brant; grandchildren, Jesse, Thomas, Sean, Sara, Kaitlyn, Taylor, Destiny, Danielle, David, Forest, and Charlie; 16 great grandchildren; brother, Mark (Peggy) Platt; aunt, Jeannie (Bill) Rickley; uncle, Don Platt; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at 4:00pm Tuesday, February, 15, 2022 at Heart & Hope by Schoedinger Hilltop, 3030 West Broad Street, where friends will be received from 2-4:00pm Tuesday.
