He was a 1976 graduate of North H.S. and attended Capital University. He worked in Renal Pathology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
Phillip played the jazz trumpet with the following: The New Remnants Dance Orchestra, The Guy Lombardo Orchestra, The Stars of Lawrence Welk (Multiple Tours), The Benny Goodman Orchestra with the McQuire Sisters, The Temptations, Vaughn Wiester's Famous Jazz Orchestra, and the Welsh Hills Symphony.
Preceded in death by his niece, Belinda Winnard. Phillip will be missed by his loving mother, Gwendolyn Jones; brothers, Eric Winnard and Thomas Winnard; nieces, Alison and Emily Winnard; aunt, Ginny Winnard, Tampa, FL; and uncle, Lawrence D. (Sheila) Jones, Vancouver, BC.
