Phyllis J. Luke

Phyllis was born on January 12 1933 in East Liberty Ohio to the late Virgil and Lillie (McColloch) Rose. Phyllis went to be with her loving Lord on Sunday February 26, 2012 at Newark Health Care. She was 79.

Phyllis retired from the Licking Memorial Hospital Lab. She was a member of Newark Baptist Temple where she sang in the choir and at nursing home services. She loved quilting her children and grandchildren, the ministry of Reformers Unanimous and serving her Lord.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Lloyd A. Rose, grandson Shane Luke and her nephew Ted Rose.

Phyllis is survived by her husband Charles M. Luke, daughters Sarah E. Osborne (Mike) of Bellefonte, PA., Rebekah J. Westerlund (Craig), Debbie McKenna (Rob), Sue A. Gregg (Terry) all of Newark, and Connie Laughery (Rick) of Bluffton, IN; sons Charles W. (Debbie) Luke of Leroy, AL, and Gary L. (Shelly) Luke of Mansfield, TX. Sisters Shirley Shoaf of Hilliard and Ruth Rose of Delaware; brother Tom (Jean) Rose of Croton, fifteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
