

Ralph Edward Dennis, age 82, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2011. He was born in Columbus on January 24, 1929, to the late Jesse James and June D. (Bumgardner) Dennis. Ralph was a great chef and loved to entertain his friends. He also enjoyed music and played the piano and upright bass for several years. He was granted several patents, among them the Bindematic notebook binder, as well as the notebook known as the Trapper Keeper. He served our country in the US Marine Corp and enlisted during WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Dennis; brother-in-law, Jack Pickens; and son-in-law, Richard Einhorn. Ralph is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lila (Egan) Dennis; children, Terri (Michael) Poulos, Debbi Einhorn, and Mark (Janet Ryvlin) Dennis; sister, Delores Pickens; grandchildren, Nick (Nicki), Jenni (Scott), Julie (John), and Keri (Travis); and great grandchildren, Michael, Leighton, and Miles. A graveside service will be held at Green Lawn Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Disabled American Veterans, or a hospice organization of your choice.
