Ralph L. Gearheart

Ralph L. "Pistol" Gearheart, age 68 of Alexandria, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Ralph was born and raised in Columbus, son of the late Pete and Myrtle Gearheart. Also preceded in death by his siblings, Bryson and Jack Gearheart and Roberta and Evelyn Snyder. Ralph was a hardworking, self-made businessman who spent his entire career building and working with his hands. He was owner of Ralph Gearheart, LLC, partner of Castle Distributing and the primary roofer for Romanelli and Hughes Custom Home Builders. Ralph was truly one of a kind. His grandson describes him as a hilarious man. His daughter would say he was ornery and his nickname "Pistol" fit him just right. He was also loving, caring and generous. He enjoyed boating on Lake Cumberland and shooting his guns. He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Charlotte Mason and Rebecca (Ron) Debord; grandchildren, Wyatt and Garrett Mason and Candie, Shawn, and Aaron Debord; brother, Pete "Buck" (Karen) Gearheart; and many other nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Monday, November 3, 2014 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., where family will receive friends from 2-6 P.M. Sunday.
