Ralph Eugene Hamilton

Ralph E. Hamilton, 91, of Circleville, formerly of Adelphi, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010 at Logan Elm Health Care. He was born July 29, 1918 in Mt. Sterling, the son of the late Isaac and Phoebe (Sparks) Hamilton. Ralph had worked at Hardens Chevrolet and retired from Kenworth. He enjoyed traveling and participating in the activities at Logan Elm Health Care. He was preceded in death by his wives, Mary Alice Hamilton and Edith Robinson Hamilton; his son, Sonny Hamilton; brothers, Roy, Ray and Kenneth Hamilton; and sisters, Mary Potts, Violet Stevens and Daisy Brittlinger. He is survived by his former wife, Martha Duvall; daughter, Patricia Young; sons, Jerry (Janie) Hamilton, Donald (Vicki) Hamilton, Larry (Pam) Hamilton, Dale (Laura) Hamilton, Tom Hamilton, Randy (Vickie) Hamilton, and Robert (Diane) Hamilton; grandchildren, Michael Hamilton, Lisa (Trey) Grimm, Christopher Young, Teresa (Briley Patterson, Jennifer Hamilton, Chad (Sara) Hamilton, Joseph (Sheree) Hamilton, Nicole Hamilton, Todd (Shawna) Hamilton, Kimberly Hamilton, Angie (George) Scarberry, Shauna (Alex) Szamanry, Carissa Hamilton, William Hamilton, and Margaret Hamilton; sisters, Hazel Woodward, Bernice Redman, Rosetta (Bob) Winegardner; brothers, Paul (Nancy) Hamilton, Denver (Nancy) Hamilton, Ronnie Hamilton; sister-in-law, Polly Hamilton; brother-in-law, Stanley Stevens; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and friends, including his special friends on the staff at Logan Elm. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home, Circleville with Pastor Robert Henry officiating. Burial will be in Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
