Ralph L. Huffman

Ralph L. Huffman 73, of Grove City left the bonds of this earth after a brave and courageous battle with Glioblastoma on Thursday, November 10, 2016. Born March 10, 1943 to the late Wade and Alice (Morrow) Huffman in Grove City, Ohio. After graduation from Grove City High School, Ralph went on to pursue a successful retail management career that began with F&R Lazarus. Throughout the years, Ralph held management positions with prominent retailers in Ohio, Alabama, and Florida. From his early years, Ralph always knew he wanted to travel. Every opportunity that he had he was off to see the world. His love of people and travel took him all over the United States and the world. Always with his passport in hand and a well-worn suitcase ready to go, Ralph welcomed each new adventure with great enthusiasm and eagerness to meet new people and experience their cultures and traditions. Ever the optimist, Ralph chose to look at people and life with the glass half full and not half empty. Ralph was a mentor and loved to lift people up encouraging them to be all that they could be, personally and professionally and to follow their dreams. Left behind to mourn his passing are special friends Rose (David) Epps of Columbus, Ohio, Ken Stripling and Juan Gutierrez of Miami, Florida, The Gray family and Weinsteger family of Columbus, Ohio, the Stranges family of Blacklick, Ohio and cousins Robert (Jim) Farley of Sunbury, Ohio, David Morrow of Columbus, Ohio and a host of friends, neighbors, and acquaintances. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of Meadow Grove Transitional Care Center and Bella Care Hospice for their loving support and care during this difficult time. Special thanks as well to friends and neighbors who gave so generously of their time and support with phone calls, cards, visits, and care packages of goodies throughout Ralph’s illness. Ralph appreciated each and every one of your kindnesses. Friends may call 2-5 PM Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL 3920 Broadway where the funeral service will be held 11 AM Monday, November 14, 2016. Dr Carl Wiley officiating. Interment to follow at Concord Cemetery.
