Randall “Randy” Slicker, age 67, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away after a life cut short after a battle with Leukemia. Born in Massillon in 1958 and moving around northeast Ohio until settling in Columbus, a place he called home for many years.
Randy was a lighthearted, outgoing, and slightly ornery, known for his bad jokes and being unintentionally funny when he wasn’t trying at all. He had a habit of humming tunes to himself while strumming an imaginary guitar, usually lost in a song only he could hear. Music was one of his great passions, and he took pride in his carefully built collection of vinyl records, CDs, and posters. His favorites included Ian Hunter, Neil Young, and the Grateful Dead. Along the way he passed down both a love of music and a solid education of classic rock to his kids.
Along with music, he enjoyed foosball, darts, concerts, craft beer, and his sunflower garden. He remained a fiercely loyal Cleveland Browns fan even in the years (decades) they didn’t deserve it. His devotion to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish was unmatched. If you listen carefully on autumn Saturday afternoons, you might still hear him cheering them on.
Above all else, Randy was deeply devoted to his family. He is survived by his wife, Dianne, and their two children, Cody and Kelsey. He was so proud of the people they have become and let his acquaintances know it on a regular basis.
Randy will be remembered for his humor, his love of music, his sunflower garden, and the warmth he brought to he lives of those around him. He will be deeply missed.
Randy was proceded in death by his parents, Donald and Maryjo Slicker; and his mother-in-law Patricia Jones.
He is survived by his father-in-law John “Dick” Jones; sister Stacia (Pat) Siconolfi and brother-in-law David Jones; nieces and nephews Alec (Lacey) and Andra Siconolfi, Travis (Katie) and Ian Jones.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00-8:00pm on Monday, January 12, 2026 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST, 1740 Zollinger Road, Columbus, Ohio 43221.
