

Raymond Andrew Cole, age 89, died October 27th 2010. He was born in Arlington, Vermont on August 10, 1921 to Bernard and Grace Cole. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Ann. He is survived by his brother Leslie, of Colorado; 3 sons, Thomas (Gay), Daniel (Jacqueline), James (Melissa); 6 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Raymond was a graduate of Arlington Memorial High School in Vermont, and was a Journeyman Tool & Die maker for General Motors in Columbus. He retired as a Tool Room Engineer in Columbus in 1980, after 33 years of service. Ray was an Army veteran of WWII (32 months) and an Air Force veteran of The Korean War (21 months). He liked to work with his hands and built dollhouses for his granddaughters, a girl he called a granddaughter, a niece and a couple of grandnieces. He also built muzzle loading rifles. Family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 473 S. Roys Ave. Father Homer Blubaugh, Celebrant. Entombment St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with military funeral honors.
