Becky and I were roommates at Miami University.  She was a great friend. Even after we graduated and lived several hours away from each other, when we would have the chance to be in touch it was like we had never been apart. Life happens tho and the times between became longer and longer. A year ago I was going to have the opportunity to be in Columbus so I tried finding her to get together. That’s when I saw this page.  I was heart broken and couldn’t respond right away. I have missed her and still will…until I see her one day in Heaven!

I was so sad to see Becky’s obituary in the paper this morning. I hadn’t seen her in years but have fond memories of her when Jana and my daughter Katie were classmates. She was a special person for sure. My deepest sympathies to all the family.

My heartfelt sympathy to Jana, Susan and Bryan.  I am so very sorry about the loss of your mother.  I was a second grade teacher at Tremont and taught in the classroom beside Becky's.  Her classroom was always very neat and organized, and her artistic and creative ways were much admired.  Her sense of humor brought smiles and laughter to our meetings.  My sincere condolences to the family.

We loved being neighbors with your family and we were all very sad to hear of Becky's  death.  We share your grief since Eric died in June of this year.

I have such wonderful memories of Becky (Mrs. May) being two of my boy's second grade teacher.  She had such a creative classroom - the hedgehog, creative crafts and assignments and especially the love of reading.  It was her class that my boys learned the love of books.  She always went out of her way to have a fun and engaging classroom all while the kids learned so much!!  She was a gift to Tremont and all her students and their parents too.  I remember how she loved to talk about her family - it was apparent they were the center of her world.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I met Becky when we both were members of Pleasure Guild, putting on plays and volunteering for Children's Hospital. We then both decided to join Childhood League, so I worked with her for five more years. Becky ALWAYS had the most welcoming smile, a open ear to listen and her ability to share the JOY she found in life, was inspiring.
Her soft voice comforted many children and adults alike.

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother and wife. The impact Becky made on our world really made a difference to many.

I am saddened to hear of Becky's passing.  Becky was my long-time neighbor in UA, and while in high school, I would often babysit Jana, Susan and Bryan.  I will forever remember Becky's sense of humor (what a terrific sense of humor!), and her flair for the fancy things in life.  Her kindness and creativity always made me feel welcome in her home.  Jana, Susan, and Bryan, you are in my thoughts.  Your mother was dearly loved and will be dearly missed.  What a wonderful legacy she will leave...

I had the privilege of teaching second graders at Tremont with Becky for many years.  She was the "artsy" person in our group of 4 teachers!  I know that she touched the lives of so many children and parents during her career and that she will be remembered at Tremont very fondly.  My most sincere condolences to her family on this loss. Becky and I were first acquainted through Trinity Methodist Church.  Bryan and my son Jeff Mathewson were in Cub Scouts together also.  I ran into her a few times when I substituted at Trement Elem. I was privileged to take care of her grandson Joey in my Home Child Care.  Anytime I think of Becky I get a smile on my face.  She was a warm, friendly, caring person.  She will be sadly missed. A beautiful life taken too soon. God must have plans for her with him.

My heart is broken as I read of the passing of my dear Becky May. I had the gift of having her in my life as a dear neighbor, who created the most stylish UA ribbons and bows and shared with me not only her beautiful children that I often cared for, but her creative talents and her love of teaching.  We as a family were so blessed to have our daughter Paige in her second grade class, where she learned to loved school and developed her gift of writing and her love of guinea pigs!  You have truly touched so many lives and I know how much you children and grandchildren love you, dear dear Becky.  Sending you all of our love Jana, Bryan, Susan and Family.

Becky was so talented.  She was a gifted teacher and selflessly gave to others. My son remembers cooking classes she assembled in her home for children.  He still loves to cook and says that she sparked that love.

I am so very saddened to hear of Becky’s passing. I own the Tremont Goodie Shop and we had a special partnership between my business and Becky’s classroom for many years. She was such a wonderful teacher and she was very creative. She would walk her entire class over to my bakery so they could enjoy a tour. Becky would then refer to that tour all year long when teaching the children - explaining how we used math, spelling, measuring, etc. every day at work. Becky was so very good at motivating all the children in her classes. She will be missed so very much.
