

Rebecca Sharp May, age 69, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at her home. Rebecca is preceded in death by her father Stanley O. Sharp and mother Janet Ary Sharp of Wilmington, Ohio. She is survived by her children, Jana (Chris) Holland, Susan (Jason) Schue and Bryan May; grandchildren Joey, Cam and Emily; Brother Robert (Pat) Sharp; niece Jenn Sharp and nephew Jason (Kay) Sharp; as well as many other family members and dear friends. Rebecca grew up in Wilmington, Ohio and graduated from Miami University where she earned her library science and teaching degrees. A recent retiree from Upper Arlington Schools, she taught at Tremont Elementary for many years. Everyone saw that one of her greatest joys was having her grandchildren attend her school. She had a passion for teaching, traveling and reading. Her creative and artistic spirit was beloved by students as she adored all of her "kids" and families. Rebecca was intrigued by French culture and was able to take many special trips to Europe in her lifetime. Throughout the years, Rebecca was also actively involved with Trinity United Methodist church, Pleasure Guild of Nationwide Children's Hospital, and Childhood League. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Upper Arlington Education Foundation or Trinity United Methodist Church.
