Rebecca May Scott

Our beloved Becky passed away peacefully on June 30th 2021 at the age of 63 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones in her home in Galloway, Ohio.

Becky was born on August 13th 1957 in Pittsburgh PA. to Lawrence and Shirley Travagline.

She attended Bethel Park High School, where she was on the track team, she excelled at shotput. She received her Nursing Degree from Community College of Allegany County in 1977. She met her future husband, Joseph "Joe" Scott, they married on August 5th 1978 in Pittsburgh, PA. They welcomed their twin daughters Jessica and Stephanie on November 30th 1985 in Pensacola, Fl. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Business from the University of West Florida in 1985.

Becky's smile and positive personality was contagious to everyone she met. Her passion was riding her bike, she participated in several GOBA's (Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure). She was very adventurous and enjoyed entertaining and being with friends and family.

Becky dedicated her life to the Girl Scouts by first starting out as a Girl Scout herself, then being a volunteer leader to her own troop, finally working at the Girl Scout Council more than 20 years. She also was an LPN for many years at several locations.

Becky was predeceased by her father, Lawrence "Larry" Travagline and her grandmother "Nan" Florence May and grandfather "Gramps" David May. She was survived by her husband Joseph "Joe" Scott, her twin daughters, Jessica and Stephanie Scott, her three grandson's Dominic, Thomas and Michael. Also, her mother Shirley Travagline, her sister Karen (Mark) Sigal, her brother David (Roxanne) Travagline of North Carolina, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.

She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts. We know Heaven gained a beautiful angel. RIP
