Richard M. Boyd

Richard M. Boyd, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at his home under the loving care of Heartland Hospice. He was born on September 12, 1953 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Robert and Mary Grace Boyd.

He is survived by his loving wife of two special years, Marsha. His children: daughter, Jenny (Ellwood “Doc” Hare, IV) Boyd, and his son Michael Boyd; and grandson Ellwood “Dutch” Hare, V. Marsha’s sons: Nate Feeney; Nick (Jodie) Feeney, and their children Noah, Jaycee and Natalie. He is also survived by his siblings, David (Linda) Boyd, Marianne (Richard) Chilton, Doris (Geoff) Mowery and Kathy (Robert) Kelley; his nieces and nephews along with their families; first wife, Cynthia Boyd; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Kathy and John Whittington; and special friends James Miller and Julia Miller. He is preceded in death by his brother Robert F. Boyd.

Family will receive friends on Monday from 5-8 p.m. at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road in Upper Arlington where a Funeral Service will be held at 10am, Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will follow that afternoon, at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 1420 Grandview Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43212. Msgr. John R. Cody, Celebrant.

Interment will follow at Sunbury Memorial Park.
