Richard P. "Ricky" Burgoon

Richard P. “Ricky” Burgoon, age 31, passed away unexpectedly at St. Ann’s Hospital on Monday, May 14, 2012. He was born in Columbus on April 16, 1981. He was a 1999 graduate of St. Francis DeSales High School, and he attended Columbus State and Ohio State University. He worked for many years at Terita’s Pizza and was most recently employed at Teleperformance. Ricky enjoyed dirt bike riding, radio control cars, fishing, playing billiards, Frisbee golf, and playing guitar. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Delma and Paul Burgoon, Sr.; and great-uncle, Carroll Bird. Ricky is survived by his parents, B. Fred and Melissa Burgoon; maternal grandparents, Richard and Leone Bird; very special friend, Melissa Cremeans; aunts, Sue (Eric) Edberg, and Marcy (Virgil) Perry; uncle Paul (Donna) Burgoon, Jr.; as well as many cousins, extended family, and special friends. Family will receive friends from 3-6 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2012, at the SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Road, where a funeral service will begin at 6 p.m. on Friday.
